Day 59: The Scientist - Coldplay ukulele cover // #100DaysofUkuleleSongs

i love the simplicity of this song, both in chord structure and in song craft - which is signature Coldplay. (i mean this with the utmost respect, because simple songwriting is hard.) the verse and chorus motifs are rock solid (meaning each line has the same melody, so it's easy for any listener to pick it up), and the lyrics are short phrases full of poetry, at the end of a heartbreak story that each and everyone of us knows personally. this is the original key of the song, which is at the very bottom of my range, but it just didn't sound right when i tried to transpose, so here's what i sound like at my lowest notes.
