"Stage in Streetsville"
Community theatre in Mississauga, Ontario.
It started in 1998 as a "family and friends" gathering, which extended into a theater studio where children perform with their parents. They come together every Sunday and talk about literature, practice dramatic art and dance. "Custom-made" scripts (created by Olga Ikonnikova) represent either a "themed story" or highlights of a specific writer. Choreography by Alla Kolbasko. Costumes by Lidia Phokeeva and (late) Irina Kalinina. Decorations by Olga Nabatova. Everything else - by all the participants. Several generations of children grew up in this theatre. Some of them are still coming in... Most of their parents never left!
