Craig Hester here with R2Awatches.com. Today I am talking about the new bracelet for the Energia collection from Vostok-Europe. This bracelet is big, heavy, aggressive, and bold. It is 4.9 mm thick and has micro adjustments and a deployant clasp. The micro adjustments are very easy to use, it involves a simple sliding bar, where you push these buttons together and when you want it in the right position, you just let go and it locks in place.

Let’s also touch on the Energia watch itself. This is a 48 mm watch. It is 15 ½ mm thick, so very heavy duty. The Energia also has the K1 mineral crystal system, i.e. gorilla glass. Gorilla glass is ideal because it’s right in the center of the mohse scale, between sapphire and mineral. It gives you nearly the shatter resistancy of mineral along with nearly the scratch resistancy of sapphire.

The Energia has the YN84 movement from Seiko, with the power reserve. Let’s see how the power reserve works. Basically, it’s like a gas gauge for your watch. As you wind the watch the quarter moon gas gauge is moving slowly up to 40. The gauge can also be wound by you simply wearing the watch and moving your wrist. The more you wear the watch, the more likely the power reserve will always be close to 40.

In closing, two more fantastic attribute of this Energia is that it has stand-up tritium tubes. Tritium will give you constant illumination. It is also 30 ATM.
