Clearwater Beach, one of the top ranked beaches in the United States, looks depressingly deserted. All public beaches, public parking areas and sidewalks around the public beaches in Clearwater FL are closed for the duration of the local state of emergency to contain the spread of the corona virus pandemic.. No guests in the fancy 4 star beach resorts and spas proud with their suites with view to the Gulf. No fishermen or street vendors or street performers on the famous Pier 60.
