Humayun's Tomb is a magnificent 16th-century mausoleum located in New Delhi, India. Built in 1570, it was commissioned by Empress Bega Begum, the widow of Mughal Emperor Humayun, and designed by the Persian architect Mirak Mirza Ghiyas.

This tomb is historically significant because it was the first garden-tomb in the Indian subcontinent, introducing the grand Persian-style Charbagh (four-part) garden layout to Mughal architecture. Its use of red sandstone and white marble, symmetrical design, and massive central dome influenced later Mughal monuments—especially the Taj Mahal.

Surrounded by beautiful gardens, fountains, and smaller monuments, Humayun's Tomb is not only a resting place but also a symbol of the Mughal dynasty's architectural innovation. It was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1993.
