MIUI - How to fix Google Pay on unlocked bootloader and Magisk running

If you have unlocked your Xiaomi smartphone and installed a custom MIUI (or other) ROM, chances you are having root access (via Magisk) are very high.

And that is exactly what Google Pay does not like. In this video you will see how this can be fixed on Android Pie (Android 9) using xiaomi.eu custom MIUI ROM.

Thankfully David Ramiro has created a wonderful script that can fix things for you.

It is available here - https://github.com/davidramiro/gpay-gms-patch/blob/master/README.md

Please note, that you can not fix Google Pay with this script if you are using straight Android Q. Take a close look at the video and beware, that you need to fix Google Pay under Android Pie, and only then update to Android Q.

So in case you have issues with adding your cards to Google Pay, this could solve it for you. Make sure you are running the fix on Android Pie and after Google Pay is fixed, then updated to Android Q. This is the only way it worked for me.
