Newfoundland - the Rescue Dogs

The Newfoundland dog is a large working animal known for their giant size, intelligence, tremendous strength and loyalty. They excel at water rescue because of their muscular build, thick double coat, webbed feet and innate swimming abilities. Many tales have been told of the courage these dogs display in lifesaving exploits. The Northern Newfoundland Club dogs are performing very well in this film record of them at Billing Aquadrome in Northampton, UK.
