The 26th Main Battle Tank Squadron (26 EMA) was established on the 4th of September 1996 and is based in the «Makis Giorgallas» military camp in the village of Mathiatis, Cyprus. Subordinate to the 20th Armoured Brigade, the unit operates T-80U and T-80UK tanks of Russian manufacture and origin.
