2500+ Shadow Priest/Rogue WotLK Arena 2v2 S7 PvP Commentary - Wrath Classic WoW 3.4.2

Today, we will be reviewing Season 7 WoW Arena 2v2 Highlights from 2500+cr!
The class and specialization of the PvP team composition is Shadow Priest/Subtlety Rogue.

00:12 - Feral Druid/Disc Priest
Shadow Priest/Rogue or "SPR" for short's favorite and potentially most favored matchup!
The Feral Druid is vulnerable to Shadow Spell Damage, Dispels, Wound Poison, and Rogue meelee burst. They rely heavily on their Priest partner to survive.
General Strategy: Dispel and burst Druid while controlling Priest.
Opponent Strategy: Disrupt SPR's opener, play defensive/LoS with damage "goes" to out-sustain SPR.

01:20 - Death Knight/RetProt Paladin (Preg)
SPR's least favorite and potentially most challenging matchup!
General Strategy: CC Pally and do damage in opener to DK in order to force defensive enemy cooldowns. Survive enemy CC and damage cooldowns through peels and heals! Find windows of opportunity to cross CC and kill!
Opponent Strategy: Maximum damage uptime through team cooldown rotation, survive and disrupt SPR goes, out-sustain SPR and kill with Hoj/Strangulate.

04:49 - Warrior/Holy Paladin
A reasonably balanced match-up vs the best comp in the game!
General Strategy: Cross-CC setups to force cooldowns, kite/peel warrior damage, kill when enemy team is out of cooldowns with Stuns, Silence, and Fear!
Opponent Strategy: Rotate defensive and offensive cooldowns to maintain maximum damage uptime and pressure on the SPR, disrupt SPR damage rotation, prevent restealth, do not over-extend.

06:18 - Random high MMR Disc Priest/Prot Warr where we got a nice swap kill on Priest!

07:21 - Discipline Priest/Protection Paladin
General Strategy. Sap and force cooldowns/trinkets on the opener. Run around a lot, Gouge into Fear, run/reset on big enemy cooldowns or trinkets, try to LoS Disc Priest while kiting Paladin, kill with Shadow Dance when they are out of cooldowns.

09:00 - Shaman/Warlock
General Strategy: Sap and Cross-CC the open, deal with Pet, full send, reset for 2nd go if necessary and kill/cc pets. Don't stack for Shadowfury! Dispel Bloodlust, prevent damage and dispel Rogue. Lock or Shaman without trinket can die in Shadow Dance.

11:20 - Mage/Warlock
Fun caster comp, but better suited for 3's! Take advantage of the fact they have no healing :).

11:53 - Shadow Priest/Subtlety Rogue (Mirror)
All about the open! May the best SPR win!
General Strategy: Sap battle is important! Priest is vulnerable to full damage rotation opens, and forcing Rogue trinket/preventing damage can help maintain uptime or allow for swaps/recovery. Fast reaction is necessary. Resets can make or break in longer games! A Rogue without trinket can die if opposite rogue opens!

13:59 - Discipline Priest/Subtlety Rogue
The highest skill-cap comp in the game! Will the light or darkness win out?
SPR trades heals and utility for damage and CC.
General Strategy: Kill the Rogue before the Rogue kills you! Sap battle is important and cleaning target + full DoT rotation causes mayhem. DPR will look to punish SPR's lack of healing by resetting and playing around trinkets. Pain-Suppression must be forced early. Catching an enemy in full stuns or full CC can swing momentum for the win!

17:34 - Survival Hunter/Discipline Priest
High-skill comp!
General Strategy: Play around Priest/Hunter CC and setup big full DoT damage goes on Hunter with Silence on Priest. Avoid/eat traps and dodge double fears from enemy Priest. Can also Blind Hunter go Priest. If the hunter can successfully outkite the Rogue, winning is difficult.

19:10 - Shadow Priest/Frost Mage
General Strategy: Peeling SPR with Polymorph + Fear into huge Shatter/DoT/Deep Freeze combos is how SPM wins! Defeat them first by getting maximum damage uptime on Priest, forcing Dispersion before Rogue Cloak of Shadows. Look for goes when on CC DRs or avoiding CC. Get Shadow Priest uptime on enemy Shadow Priest. Punish mage over-extend! Dispel frequently!

20:08 - Double Rogue (AKA Double Dog)
Pray you find them before they find your Rogue. Squishy comp if you can disrupt their opener or catch them out. Deadly if they get their perfect open.

20:26 - Enhancement Shaman/RetProt Paladin
Similar to ProtRet/DK, typically must avoid Shaman wolves while kiting, whittling enemy cooldowns with peels, and set up a CC go based on enemy CDs and positioning after Wolves. The longer the game goes, the better for SPR.
