Wild Horse Adoption August 2021

Check out the animals from Oregon's Wild Horse Corral Facility available for online auction, August 17-24, 2021!

In this latest auction event, there are 36 horses from southeast Oregon, along with many more from other parts of the West.

The Oregon horses available range from 1 to 12 years old and come from the South Steens, Stinkingwater, Paisley Desert and Pokegama herd management areas and the Murderer's Creek Wild Horse Territory.

These 36 horses are all eligible for the BLM's Adoption Incentive Program, which gives $1,000 to qualified applicants who adopt an untrained animal. Horses 11 years of age and older are available for direct purchase through the BLM's Sale Authority Program. Before horses and burros are shipped from the facility, they are given a final brand and health inspection from a veterinarian.

Horses adopted during this auction will be available for pick-up in Oregon, Ohio, Alabama, Illinois, Oklahoma and Louisiana.
