Putin warns 'weapons exist to be used' in latest chilling threat to West - but we've heard it before

VLADIMIR Putin says he is ready to launch nuclear weapons if he feels the West is threatening Russia's sovereignty, in his most chilling WW3 threat yet. The Sun's Paul Sims reacts.

The Russian tyrant, 71, declared the weapons "exist in order to use them" in a chilling threat issued ahead of this week's presidential election.

It comes as Alexei Navalny’s long-time ally was brutally attacked with a hammer outside his home in Lithuania in a horror assault said to have been ordered by Vladimir Putin.

Leonid Volkov, who served as the late opposition leader’s chief of staff in 2018, was rushed to hospital after suffering injuries to his head and legs.
