General Grievous vs Ice Locusts from Shadow Raiders

I'm not saying George Lucas got the idea from Shadow Raiders, but...
I haven't found any article or video mentioning this, so here it is.
The Ice Locusts from Shadow Raiders in 1998 have a hidden second set of arms which are kept folded behind their backs. These arms are similar to that of General Grievous. George Lucas makes heavy use of CG in his science fiction movies, therefore it stands to reason that he would also be inspired by other science fiction CG.
General Grevious is a heavily modified Kaleesh.
