1975-05-28: Welcome to US Fort Indiantown Gap

Following the Fall of Saigon in April 1975...

Fort Indiantown Gap served as a temporary home for southeast Asian refugees with slightly more than 32,000 Vietnamese and Cambodian refugees being resettled through the facility.

Five years later, in 1980, FIG served to quarter the more than 19,000 Cubans of the Mariel boatlift.
