The Faith of My Friends | Sermon for the 6th Sunday of Matthew

"When Jesus saw their faith he said to the paralytic, 'Take heart, my son; your sins are forgiven.'" (Matthew 9:2)

After Saturday vespers, Steve offered a short talk exploring why young people leave the Church. During Sunday Liturgy, Steve explored the question through the lens of the Gospel and Epistle readings.

In the Gospel reading, a paralyzed man is saved by the faith of his friends. If other people struggle with faith, is it because we aren't helping bring them to Christ?
