Refurb 101 - Buy, Refurbish, Refinance

Refurbishing a property can add significant value to it, enabling you to recycle the funds you have in it so that you can get most (or in some cases all) of your initial investment back. This is the fastest way to grow a property portfolio.
Buy, Refurbish, Refinance (BRR ) is the key skill that every successful property investor needs to master.
This is the strategy that allowed me to quit my job as a dentist and my husband Steve to leave his career as a GP in September 2015 when our relatively passive income from property replaced our six-figure salaries. It's a strategy that can very much be done part-time alongside a busy career, as the income from property grows, it allows you the choice to work part-time, or transition completely into property (unless you love your job and want to build a portfolio while continuing to work)
