How Does Canonicity Work? The Ultimate Edition

So...between this NEW version of the video, and the ORIGINAL version of the video, I ask: which one is canon? Is it the original video that most people saw, and made less sense? Or is it the new one that makes a little more sense, but will probably be less viewed on its release compared to the original? Or is there no definitive answer; it's all interpretive? Or is this question irrelevant to you?
