Join Ben Cloward, Technical Art veteran (ex-Unity, 14 years at BioWare), for an expert-level remote training focused on advanced asset optimization for modern game pipelines. @BenCloward

🔍 What You’ll Master
✔ Creating optimized meshes (vertices, UVs, materials, LODs)
✔ Texture optimization (resolution strategy, packing, compression, sharing)
✔ Efficient VFX assets (overdraw, particle count, texture atlases, activation, LODs)
✔ Shader optimization (reduce texture sampling, smarter math, pipeline awareness)
✔ Understanding performance: GPU vs CPU bound, measuring in-engine

Participants complete two challenging assignments, receive structured instructor feedback, and present their work in small groups (4 attendees per group).

Prerequisites:
Basic experience creating meshes, textures, materials (Blender, Maya, Photoshop, etc.) and basic familiarity with Unreal, Unity, or similar real-time engines.
