MILES DAVIS - The Man I Love (1954) See a Rare 16 rpm LP!

Miles recorded this Gershwin gem December 24, 1954, but it didn't come out on a 16 rpm album until January 1957. The 16 speed (actually 16 2/3) spins at half the speed of the standard 33 1/3, meaning you can have twice as much content at about half the audio quality. Most 16 speed discs were either spoken word or background music. Ones featuring a major musician were really few and far between. With Davis (trumpet) on this track are: Milt Jackson (vibes); Thelonious Monk (piano); Percy Heath (bass); and Kenny Clarke (drums).
