Ahornspitze, Zillertal Alps, Austria, Aug 2016

A walk on the Ahornspitze Mountain from Mayrhofen in Austria on August 20th 2016. The summit is 9753ft ( 2973m) above sea level. We take a cable car part of the way up the mountain and walk towards the summit. Due to heat and fatigue we did not make the summit, but enjoyed a walk with stunning scenery. We were not far off the summit, but thought it wise not to continue and make a descent to catch the cable car back down to the valley.
