PAMUKKALE Y HIERÁPOLIS
Pamukkale significa castillo de algodón en turco.
Es una zona natural y al mismo tiempo una famosa atracción turística.
La ciudad antigua de Hierápolis se construyó en lo alto del 'castillo' blanco.
Hierápolis y Pamukkale fueron declarados Patrimonio de la Humanidad en 1988.
La actividad volcánica subterránea provocó que se filtrara dióxido de carbono en una cueva de Hierápolis.
Fue bautizada con el nombre de Plutón porque la gente que entraba allí moría a causa del gas y se pensaba que era Plutón, dios de los infiernos, era el que enviaba ese gas.

Pamukkale means cotton castle in Turkish.
It is a natural and also a famous tourist attraction area.
The ancient city of Hierapolis was built on top of the 'castle' white.
Pamukkale and Hierapolis were declared World Heritage in 1988.
The underground volcanic activity caused carbon dioxide seep into a cave of Hierapolis.
It was named after Pluto because the people who went there died because of gas and was thought to Pluto, god of the underworld, was the one who sent that gas.
