Fall in CUYAHOGA VALLEY NATIONAL PARK- Beaver Marsh, Everett Covered Bridge, Kendal Lake & Szalay's Sweet Corn Farm

I had one final day at Cuyahoga Valley National Park for my Fall visit. I had 4 stops to make before heading home. Beaver Marsh, Everett Covered Bridge, Szalay's Sweet Corn Farm and Kendal Lake.

Beaver Marsh is located at the southern tip of Cuyahoga Valley National Park. You can park at the Ira trailhead to enter the Towpath trail. From the Ira Trailhead you will turn left (toward Everett) on the trail sign. The boardwalk for Beaver Marsh is just a short walk from there. You will pass Lock 26 from the Erie Canal. Keep an eye out for Birdwatchers. If you want a place for birdwatching in Cuyahoga Valley National Park, this is it!

From there I head over to Szalay's Sweet Corn Farm. Szalay's is located right next to the Hunt Farm Visitors Center and the Towpath Trail passes within feet of the entrance. It was a very busy area on the fall day, but I was able to get roasted sweet corn and lemonade. They have more pumpkins than I've ever seen in one place at one time. Worth a stop for sure!

Everett Covered bridge is just around the corner from the farm. It is a beautifully maintained red covered bridge with easy access and just a short walk from the parking lot. I recommend taking the side trail down to the river to see the full view and furnace run. It is the only remaining covered bridge in Summit County, Ohio.

The last stop of the day was Kendal Lake and the Salt Run Trail. The lake offered full views of the Fall Leaves and wildlife. The Kendal Lake trail is near a cross country course and the Kendal Lake Trail and Salt Run Trail offered great trail running opportunities!
