start of second semester // seo vlogs

hey everyone, it's been a while since my last vlog, but boy oh boy, i've had an absolute TIME. in all honesty, second semester has been so much harder in so many different ways, but after thinking about it and editing this vlog together, i realized that i have a much better support system and more experience this semester than i did in the previous semester. even though things are really rough for me right now, i can at least get through it all with some knowledge that i'm going to be okay at the end of it all. not sure how okay i'll be during the middle of it, but i'll make it there.
i've also come to realize that our community tends to glorify hyperproductivity, even if it comes at a high cost to our own health and happiness. i've seen some comments about perfectionism and getting 100s and As on every single possible thing, and i find that it's such a toxic and unrealistic expectation. that's the main reason why i didn't edit out the sad bits and the tired bits in this video even though i'm tempted to. social media is a filter, essentially, for all the good things in our lives, and although it's understandable, i just wanted to be a bit more honest, both with myself and with all of you guys. anyhow, that's enough rambling from me, but i hope you're doing alright. if you're feeling sad or stressed, know that you are not alone, and know that we can get through this together.
