Every healthy reading diet includes non-fiction. And I’m not talking about the type on “how to be a better leader,” or the how to manifest your way to wealth sort of non-fic.

I’m talking about politics, philosophy, history, etc.

Non-fic that helps you understand the world we live in.

These books will do exactly that. Whether you want to know how capitalism leeches and thrives off of disaster (and why that isn’t just advantageous to the spread of neoliberalism, but a necessary part of its strategy)…

How our interpretation of images is shaped by ideology, class, gender—especially in art and advertising (yes, even seeing is political)…

Or how entertainment and visual gratification has fundamentally eroded the quality of public discourse, transforming serious, nuanced subject matters into trivial entertainment.

These are all MUST-reads, in my humble opinion.
