The First Touch

This is a compilation of just a few of the mustangs we have had the privilege of getting the first touch and training. At the end of the video are the first touches of our 2020 Player’s Choice Extreme Mustang Makeover horses.

So many times we don’t get the first touch on video or with pictures. Videos and pictures sometimes get accidentally deleted. Wish we had them all to show you.

These aren’t all “perfect” first touches. We make mistakes, we read the horse wrong, we ask for too much or not enough. It’s ok, we just try to do better next time and learn.

Some first touches are the nose, others forehead, neck, whither, shoulder....sometimes they need us to be assertive or patient and waiting. Some mustangs shake in terror and others beg to be messed with (as you can see in the video). They are all very unique and individual. Nevertheless the first touch is a magical moment :)
