CD Slot DIY magnetic phone mount

YouTube user pdrambar has a great video that shows how he made a DIY car vent phone mount out of cheap home-center materials. This is my reworking of his design to fit my needs. Prior to starting the build, I first ensured that my CD player didn't try to grab the plate if it gets slightly inserted into the player. Once I knew it was safe for the concept, the rest took 10-15 minutes. Well worth the effort. About $5-$6 worth of materials max and I have a phone mount that works better than any commercially available mount for my car.
