Revelation 20:11-15 | The Great White Throne

There is a sense of injustice in the world. Everyone recognizes not all people are treated equally, and many are treated unfairly. Cries for justice are heard in every culture, nation, and language. Unfortunately, most people fail to realize what would happen if true justice were given to them. As Christians, we understand justice brings judgment, and judgment will come quickly upon unredeemed humanity. That is why we seek God’s grace over His justice.

The great white throne judgment happens after the millennium and is when Jesus judges everyone who rejected God’s gracious offer of salvation. Books will be opened, and sinners will be judged for the things they have said, done, and thought. Only unbelievers are judged at the great white throne. Those judged include both small and great, which refer to ordinary people and those who were famous intellectuals, had positions of power, or were of royal birth. Unlike the privilege some enjoy in this world that allow them to escape justice, no one will escape this judgment because of their human status. Only those who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior are spared from the just judgment Christ will render.

Join us this Sunday as Pastor David further develops the teaching of the great white throne judgment. He will explain why these people are judged and the result of their judgment.
