FirstWatch: The Path to Parole

In this powerful documentary, Adnan Khan talks to three men who have served 40-plus consecutive years in California prisons. Each person has been to multiple parole board hearings, yet they are still incarcerated at the time of the filming. In this video, listen to the conversations the elders have about their four decades in prison and the shifts they have seen in the system.

This documentary was created by Adnan Khan, Shadeed Wallace-Stepter and Lawrence Pela in its entirety, while they were incarcerated in San Quentin State Prison. The film project was created by Adnan Khan and is called "Firstwatch."
