ABC Network - Fish - "Power Play" - KABC Channel 7 [Los Angeles, CA] (Partial, 7/21/1977)

Here's the last half of a repeat of an episode of the Abe Vigoda series Fish, entitled "Power Play" (S01E03 - original air date February 19th 1977) as transmitted over KABC Channel 7 in Los Angeles, CA.

This spinoff of Barney Miller also co-starred Florence Stanley as Fish's wife Bernice, and Barry Gordon as college student and child psychology major Charlie. This series had the Fishes (the Fish?) tending to five foster children designated "PINS," or "Persons in Need of Supervision" (played by Denise Miller, Lenny Bari, John Cassisi, Sarah Natoli - and a young Todd Bridges, before he became famous on another sitcom, Diff'rent Strokes).

Also featured is the first two minutes of an edition of ABC News Closeup: On Camera, hosted by Sandy Hill and Peter Jennings.

(Technical Note: The Fish episode was transmitted locally for airing in the West Coast time zone, as the show manifests the crystal-clear 15 kHz audio throughout; contrast that with the ABC News Brief which sports 5 kHz telco audio as very common in the period before January-February 1978. WLS Channel 7 in Chicago would have aired this Fish episode with the audio as compromised as the news brief.)

Sandy and Peter introduce this edition, and are midway in describing its format when recording ends
