Crossing a Busy Street at a Controlled Intersection with a White Cane | Blind Travel
Crossing a busy street at a controlled intersection with a white cane, blind travel.
In this video, Matt discusses and demonstrates how he has been taught to cross a controlled intersection using a white cane as a blind person. Matt discusses the techniques when approaching the intersection, when he is at the intersection, and how to time and pay attention to the traffic flow to safely cross an intersection. Watch this video and leave any comments or questions below. Thank you so much for watching, this is what Matt has learned with his orientation and mobility instructor from the sessions he has been having out in the city. Prior to using a white cane to cross intersections and streets it is best to consult with your own mobility instructor. Matt is not suggesting people without training or who are not comfortable cross intersections. He is not liable for your cane use.
