Zooey Deschanel and Jonathan Scott opened up about their unexpected love story! The lovebirds sat down for their first interview as an engaged couple, admitting to People that they were taken aback with fans' initial reaction to their relationship. "When we first started dating, Zooey posted a picture of us together. It might've been the very first time we ever posted anything on social media. And I remember I looked at it and I saw the first comment was, 'Why the hell is she with a Property Brother?!' I was like, 'Excuse me—rude!'" Jonathan said, and Zooey was quick to come to his defense! "Why wouldn't I be with you? Our personalities are so compatible...It's just that we're from different worlds," she explained. The actress and HGTV star met in 2019 while filming "Carpool Karaoke" and later went on their first date to an escape room, which the "New Girl" star said she "loved." The pair also noted how Jonathan got major points early on for giving her a schedule for the unique outing!
