South Australia's hotel quarantine arrangements have been thrust under the spotlight after it was revealed two returned travellers previously thought to have caught coronavirus overseas are now believed to have acquired it while in an Adelaide medi-hotel.

The cases — a couple — have now been linked to the Parafield cluster, hours after health authorities ruled out such a connection.
