Let’s start with Ghost of Yotei, the follow-up to Ghost of Tsushima. Unlike many modern open-world games that spiral into budgets of hundreds of millions, Sucker Punch’s sequel is reported to have a development cost similar to its predecessor. Ghost of Tsushima cost around $60 million to make and went on to sell 13 million copies, generating $400 million in revenue for Sony. That’s an incredible return.

Then there’s Stellar Blade, which might not be done surprising fans just yet. Developer Shift Up recently dropped a teaser showing a strange, eerie hallway with a flower on the ground. At first glance it might seem random, but with Silent Hill F releasing around the same time, the similarities are hard to ignore. Could we be looking at a horror-themed DLC? Or maybe even a Silent Hill crossover?

One of the hottest topics is Konami’s direction with the Metal Gear Solid franchise. After the success of Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, fans are wondering which classic entry could be next in line for a remake. Will it finally be Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, trapped on the PlayStation 3 for nearly two decades? Or maybe even the original Metal Gear Solid that started it all?

Next up is Resident Evil Requiem. Capcom’s new entry is already building hype ahead of its February 27th, 2026 launch, and rumours suggest that Leon S. Kennedy could return as a secondary protagonist. According to insider reports, Leon is set to appear with a darker, more rugged look, wearing a black jacket and reflecting a more hardened side of his character.

Xbox consoles are getting hit even harder with price hikes, reports say the Xbox Series X will jump to $650, while the lower-powered Series S will be priced just $50 under the digital PS5. And then there’s the premium 2TB Galaxy Black Series X, which will sell for $799, more expensive than the PS5 Pro, despite being the weaker machine.

Let’s move to Bloodborne. Fans have been begging for years for a remake, a remaster, or even a simple PC port, but according to insiders, nothing is happening. Despite selling nearly 7.5 million copies by 2020 and being one of the most iconic PlayStation titles ever made, Sony hasn’t taken any steps to revive it.

Finally, there’s the Perfect Dark reboot, which became one of the most high-profile cancellations in Xbox history. The Initiative, the studio leading the project, was shut down, and with it went hopes of Joanna Dark’s big return. Leaked documents have since revealed ambitious plans, including an episodic format, an “Adrenaline System” for gameplay, and an “Eco Sci-Fi” art style with futuristic but sustainable environments.
