Market Headed For Second Straight Weekly Fall; Sensex Down 100 Points, Nifty At 24,797 | CNBC TV18

According to latest market updates, the BSE Sensex was at 81,532.9, down 100.03 points or 0.12 per cent, while the Nifty50 was at 24,797.6, lower by 36 points or 0.14 per cent.

Asian Paints, NTPC, Tata Motors, IndusInd Bank and Infosys were the top laggards, down up to 1.5 per cent. Meanwhile, Eternal, State Bank of India, HDFC Bank and L&T were the gainers on the Sensex.

The broader markets erased early gains but were higher. The Nifty MidCap was up 0.18 per cent, while the Nifty SmallCap was up 0.21 per cent.

Most sectoral indices were in the red, led by the Nifty Metal index, Nifty Auto, and Nifty IT index. The market breadth was in favour of the seller.
