Crochet Getting Wider?

If your crochet is getting wider than you intend to, that means you've unknowingly added stitches somewhere. Typically, at the beginning of the row. Don’t forget that turning chains count as the first stitch in taller stitches. You have to make sure to work into them at the end of a row.

To keep from having to redo your work in the future, make sure to count your stitches after every row until you feel more confident in your crochet skills. Also, don't forget to do a gauge swatch. These tips will help you crochet from getting wider.
