Journalists' Digital Security - National Press Club Special Event

The National Press Club's Press Freedom Committee held a panel discussion on Oct. 24, 2012 featuring Matthew Cole, Joseph Hall and Jonathan Hutcheson to discuss how digital technology, while an enormous boon to journalists, also comes with significant security pitfalls and far too few reporters are aware of these dangers. More so than the general public, journalists are particularly at risk of being targeted as a result of the unique role they play in accumulating and disseminating highly sensitive information.
