A high end performance car such as this Ferrari F430 that has a sleek aerodynamic design demands a wet shine and warm glow to make it look just as amazing as it performs.
This Pininfarina designed and Italian made sports car came to the Detail Garage in need of some attention. The red paintwork was blanketed in a fine layer of dust that was easily removed using a TORQ Foam Cannon.
Before any type of coating or polishing can be done to any vehicle it is necessary to remove as much contamination as possible which is accomplished using a clay bar. The clay bar pulls embedded debris and grime that clings to the pores of the paint and creates a rough feeling as well as dull the over all appearance of the paintwork.
To enhance the shine and gloss Nick applied one of his favorite paste waxes, Pete's '53. This Brazilian white carnauba paste wax utilizes special oils and polymers that bond with the surface to create a slick glossy finish which made the red finish explode off of this Ferrari.
Red paintwork absorbs UV rays that will actually deteriorate the finish causing premature paint failure or discoloration over time. The purpose of wax is to add shine but more importantly to protect the vehicles paintwork from oxidation and failing. The layer of bonded wax will repel UV rays, contamination, harsh elements, water spots and other pollutants.
After letting the wax cure for approximately fifteen minutes it was ready for removal. To safely remove the spent wax without creating new scratches or swirls we used the Happy Ending Towels. The super plush pile traps all product without leaving any streaks or smearing. Designed with a laser cut edge so the chances of installing scratches or swirls are dramatically reduced.
Now this red bullet with wheels has a silky smooth surface and unmatched gloss giving it an amazing shine.
