Eye telescopes for macular degeneration

Dr. Sam Garg, medical director of UC Irvine's Gavin Herbert Eye Institute, discusses the treatment of age-related macular degeneration on PBS SoCal. UC Irvine is one of the few sites across the country to have implanted a miniature telescope that restores the central vision in the eyes of patients with macular degeneration.
