Do NOT Fear Failure: Get Used to Rejection as a Freelance Bartender (Doc's Mixs Ups)

Tough words maybe, but that is the game you are entering as a freelancer. I literally deal with rejection on a DAILY basis: Leads that decline or ignore my ads, Leads that respond and I never hear from them again, Leads that sign the contract but never pay the deposit and then disappear, Leads that choose another service over mine despite serious interest and talks beforehand, Customers and venues with requirements that exceed my capacity, Customers that might question my contracted staff’s credentials, Bartenders I try to contract that might not like the price I am offering; and ON and ON!!

This is the COST of the freedom, control, and profitability inherent in freelance bartending: You must push through any fear of failing you feel not being qualified, capable, correctly-priced, or independent enough to do this on your own. You must PERSIST in drumming up as many leads to turn to customers as you can. This requires CONSISTENT ACTION and letting fear stifle consistent action will kill your business. It’s not always easy, but I can say with certainty say that one “Yes” makes you forget about the last ten “No’s” very quickly :)

No particular tricks or tips in this vid, just a little pep-talk from me to you to confirm that I already KNOW without meeting you that you WILL be successful in this business if you keep those fears in check!
