VR FOR FLIGHT SIM – PRO’s & CON’s : VR GUIDE FOR FLIGHT SIMMERS PART 3
Is it practical to flight sim in VR (Virtual Reality) with today’s technology? What are the Pro’s and Con’s of doing this? Welcome to Part 3 in the series: VR Guide For Flight Simmers. We take a flight from ORBX ESSA (Stockholm) to ORBX ESNQ (Kiruna) in VR and discuss the benefits and negatives of flying in VR. In this flight we are using P3D4 with Flyinside for P3D. This is the third in a four-part series where we look at many different aspects of VR and flight simulation across multi platforms. Do you fly in VR? Which flight simulator and why? Please leave your comments below.

My P3D settings are at the end of the video for anyone interested. The graphics are normally set higher, but as I was also recording this, it puts an additional load on the system. The graphics on the Flyinside menu option are low res as it is a sub menu and hidden screen. Apologies for this, but I could not get it to record at a higher resolution. I am still a bit of a novice at this.
Coming up in part 4, the final in this series, will be a look at Leap Motion. Can we really use our own hands in the cockpit and do away with controllers?
