Eel Pie Island Museum with Chas McDevitt and GP Jazzclub

Members of Griffin Park Jazz Club in Brentford visit the Eel Pie Island Museum in Twickenham with Chas McDevitt, 1950's skiffle star (No 1 in both UK and USA with "Freight Train" ) for a tour and an impromptu skiffle session. This is the short film made by David Slater on the day. Thanks to David, Michelle Whitby the curator and Fluff the legenday "Eel Pie Skipjiver" for the reception, tea and biscuits. Museum open Thurs - Sun from 10am, please visit and discover the fascinating history of the Island where everyone from the 50's and 60's played, from dance bands and trad jazz giants through The Rolling Stones and Yardbirds until Free, Black Sabbath and Deep Purple and just about everyone you can think of including visiting US jazz and bluesmen.
