An Off-Season Carnival

During the Olympics, Madureira Park in Northern Rio has become a place for residents and tourists to gather to watch the Games on a big screen and take part in cultural and sporting events. “Mocidade Independente de Padre Miguel,” one of Rio de Janeiro’s top samba schools will also parade for an off-season carnival celebration of the Games.
