Սեպտեմբերի 22-ին Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածնում, նախագահությամբ Գարեգին Երկրորդ Ամենայն հայոց կաթողիկոսի, տեղի ունեցավ Գերագույն հոգևոր խորհրդի ժողով, որի ընթացքում քննության առնվեց ս․ թ․ հոկտեմբերի 1-ին Սրբալույս Մյուռոնի օրհնության արարողության անցկացման հարցը։ Նկատի առնելով Արցախի շուրջ ստեղծված ծանր իրավիճակը՝ որոշում կայացվեց հետաձգել Մյուռոնօրհնեքը և հարակից միջոցառումները: Որոշվեց նաև հոկտեմբերի 1-ը հռչակել Արցախի համար համազգային աղոթքի օր, որի առիթով Մայր Աթոռ Սուրբ Էջմիածնում և Հայաստանի ու Սփյուռքի բոլոր եկեղեցիներում պատարագի ավարտին կկատարվի աղոթքի հատուկ կարգ։

On September 22, a meeting of the Supreme Spiritual Council was convened in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin under the chairmanship of His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians, during which the question of holding the Blessing of the Holy Muron service to be held on October 1 was discussed. Taking into account the difficult situation created around Artsakh, a decision was made to postpone the Blessing of the Holy Muron and related events. It was also decided to declare October 1 as a nationwide prayer day for Artsakh, on the occasion of which a special order of prayer will be performed at the end of the liturgy in the Mother See and in all the churches of Armenia and the Diaspora.
