Proverbs 12:1: “Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but whoever hates correction is stupid.”

Spiritual maturity begins with submission to God and a willingness to be corrected by His Word. Correction isn’t rejection — it’s training.

Proverbs 12:1 says:
“Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but whoever hates correction is stupid.”

The Word of God convicts before it elevates.
Conviction exposes blind spots, sharpens character, and matures your faith. When you submit to God, you don’t argue with correction — you grow from it.
Those who resist correction stay stuck.
Those who receive correction develop wisdom, discipline, and spiritual maturity.

If you want to grow in God, you must first submit to His Word — because correction produces conviction, and conviction produces maturity.
