Lake Conestee Nature Park - Best Things to do in Greenville, SC

Lake Conestee Nature Park (also known as Lake Conestee Nature Preserve) is on the the best things to do in Greenville, SC. This is such a gem to have in Greenville, South Carolina. Just minutes from I I I-85 are beautiful nature trails teeming with wildlife. The favorite of the day was the Blue Heron - the least favorite was the snake!

Check out my video to see this great hiking adventure in Greenville. This has a different vibe than Paris Mountain State Park but it is a beautiful place with a lot of trails. It even converges with the Swamp Rabbit Trail. I walked a little over 3 miles and did not see it all. I made a loop with the following trails:

I parked at E2 and walked over the Bridge to Possum Run to River Otter Way then to Heron Spur (where we saw Blue Herons!)
I went back to River Otter Way until it ended at the Swamp Rabbit Trail and made a left.
I followed the Swamp Rabbit Trail to the Historic Conestee Mill then backtracked on the Swamp Rabbit Trail and made a right on the Flat Tall Trail. I followed this all the way to the Woodie Walk where we saw 3 little turtles. I backtracked on Woodie Walk and returned on the Flat Tall Trail to the Sparkleberry Connector and finally back to the bridge and to the parking lot.

This is such a unique nature preserve! I highly recommend checking out Lake Conestee Nature Park.
