Apple I Garage Computer

In 1976, inside a modest California garage, Steve Wozniak created the Apple I computer. It was hand‑assembled on a wooden board, far from sleek, but it was groundbreaking. Alongside Steve Jobs, he sold the first units through a local shop for $666.66 each, marking the start of what would become one of the most influential companies in history.
Unlike other machines of the era, the Apple I came fully assembled and ready to use. This made computing accessible to ordinary people for the first time, moving away from the world of complicated hobby kits and toward a future where technology would live in every home. Only about 200 were ever built, and fewer than 70 survive today, each one now a priceless piece of tech history.
The Apple I was more than a machine. It was a symbol of creativity, curiosity, and courage. From a cluttered garage to a global empire, this simple board helped shape the digital world we live in today.
