Major flooding - Des Plaines River - May 2020 | 4K drone footage

Sunday was another record-setting day for rainfall in Des Plaines. Additional 0.11 inches rainfall on Tuesday set new record of 8.30 inches for the month of May.
The Des Plaines River at Algonquin Road was measured at approximately 20.1 ft. as of 8 a.m. Monday, according to the National Weather Service, or what is considered “major” flood stage.

Approximately 3.1 inches on rain fell on Sunday, which set a new record for May 17, the weather service said. Sunday’s total was on top of 4-1/4 inches that fell over a two-day period last week, also a new record.
