Citizens Reject Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra in Maharashtra: "Why Modi Sarkar & Not Bharat Sarkar"

The Indian government's outreach program, the 'Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra,' aimed at disseminating information about various government schemes, is facing significant opposition in multiple districts of Maharashtra.

Initiated on November 15th, the program involves a mobile unit traveling across rural and tribal regions in India to educate citizens about government initiatives such as Ujjwala Yojana and housing schemes.

However, the journey has encountered resistance in districts like Buldhana, Parbhani, Kolhapur, Ahmednagar, Satara, Ratnagiri, and Nashik. Villagers in some areas even barred the entry of the mobile unit, expressing their dissatisfaction with the government's policies.

The opposition gained momentum after a viral video surfaced on December 13th, featuring a youth named Rajvaibhav Shobha Ramchandra from Kolhapur. In the video, he argued that the government's name should be prominently displayed on the journey's vehicles, rather than the Modi government's. He claimed that the misleading signage led to confusion and discontent among the people.

Even as the opposition intensifies, the government remains determined to continue the 'Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.' The situation is complex, with local authorities facing challenges from both protesters and supporters. The underlying reasons for this widespread discontent are being explored, with Rajvaibhav Shobha Ramchandra shedding light on the motivations behind his protest in a recent interview.
