Backyard brick pizza oven for under $50

We finally finished the brick oven that I drew up in SketchUp and posted a while back (https://youtu.be/1N81F9scmOQ). There were a few design changes but overall still the same. I will probably go ahead and add the angle iron supports to the bottom of the barrel at some point I think that will provide some added stability to the bricks. the pizza stone added in SketchUp might help with the problem I had when transferring the pizza to the brick floor. We will get a pizza peel... or make one :) and try that first. Anyway hope you enjoy and it gave you some ideas so now as I say get your family outside and give it a try who doesn't like a build your own Pizza party!

Some people say a wooden peel is better I don't think for this oven you would need one with the long handle. It does get hot but the shorter handle would be easier to use in my opinion: http://amzn.to/2b19dBZ

My gear:
I use the Audio Technica AT2020 XLR because I wanted to be able to record music occasionally. If you do not need that then you could just go straight for the USB version and wouldn’t need the phantom power or extra cables. The external recorder is a must when using a cell phone and will help with audio sync when editing.
