Thrulines one week later (update)

This morning's video I demonstrated an issue with thrulines and gave a big warning into trusting the data. Well... if you have no adoptions or weirdness in your tree, i think you can use the data as a starting point!

My wife's thrulines looks to be quite useful as all of the people pulled in are actually in her tree.

My mothers thrulines looks .... (put your own world for bad here).

My thrulines inherited the busted information from my mother's side but did do a good job on my fathers line.

DNA circles busted for all of us (sadface).

This IS BETA and it has GREAT promise, i dont want to give up on it yet. So give your feedback to Ancestry when you find errors and hopefully they can massage out the errors quickly.

I KNOW this is adoptive situations, IT IS NOT because of preferences in my tree (because we went so far as to DELETE the adoptive kin and reconnect people in a way that they were married and a "normal" family.

if you have adoptive situations in your tree, WARNING, its busted! bigtime busted. If your family is normal, no adoptive situations, congrats! your thrulines is probably worthy of using for hints.

so be careful! It IS connecting to other peoples trees. Alot of these trees are in error at a distance so be careful!

It is going to be a good tool one day, if fixed, it will be the single greatest asset we have as researchers, but as it is, its 50/50 that it will work for YOU!
