How to make a Spring or Coil in Adobe Illustrator

In this video I'll show you how to create a spring using the Spiral tool in Adobe Illustrator, while keeping the spring editable so that you can use the Reshape tool to adjust the height.

The script I use in this video is called 'Merge Overlapped Anchors', and can be found on Github. It's a pack of several handy scripts in one ZIP file, check them out below.
